When I first came on - hazmat was lowering one guy down on a rope - when he yelled, we pulled him out and he described what he saw. Thank God for training and cooperation between Fire Departments and Commercial Ventures - New Federal and State disclosure laws help too!

Amen!! It is perpetual training and education. As fast as we learn something; someone comes along and develops another new poison, another new chemical or fuel ...

hazmat is deffinately somethn thats is here to stay with the fire service. takes alot of training just like everything else. im asst. hazmat chief and its a never ending process on keeping everything up
