The IAFC SHS Section has launched a program to try to reach as many
firefighters as possible with simple survival messages through the
distribution of 2010 pocket planners. This low-cost program will
generate funds to allow the SHS Section to continue to address
firefighter safety and health issues.

For only $1.50 each,
you can order these pocket planners for your members to tell them that
their lives and families mean so much to you that you want to ensure
that Everyone Goes Home. You will also help us reach more firefighters
than ever with these survival messages. For orders over 50, you can
personalize the cover with your department’s name and information.

tons of questions.
i was trained and certified by a NFPA instructor on nuevo laredo mexico, i am a volunteer here on the fire departament for almost 2 years.

we were trained at RED CROSS, so we could get on the ambulance and help paramedics, to know the basic paramedic stuff. so here on the border there is plenty of car accidents, wildfires, housefires, drowned people. i did learn a lot of stuff here, now i am going back to the United States most likely DFW area, so my question is would i be able to work on any fire dept?, do i need a college degree? ,does my training helps? how can i prove the fire depts on the U.S that i have been certified here on mexico by a NFPA INSTRUCTOR? i also have a high school diploma. anyone could answer this please.

my goal is to become a firefighter on the united states, so i need help on this.

thanks brothers

Thank you! I will be sending my application as soon as I'm done with school, if you're still hiring!

Lubbock is testing in September. We will be hiring a ton of people over the next year or so. We are supposed to open 3 new houses.
