I'm on with the Oklahoma MRC and I was looking to see if any local FD would mind me coming out and shadowing someone for a night or something and learn, I am now done with my back surgery and out of the recovery window, I currently base a more standby position with the MRC (disaster aide & establishment, office work) but need to learn more about the Firefighting part and brush up on my knowledge. I live in NE OKC by Quail Springs Mall, and willing to drive within reason if someone is willing to help with this.

Tally on Major county Fire...
Measured by OHP Plane and GPS at 41,500 acres
We are still counting the units but just from Friday night through Saturday was 373 Firefighters and 23 task forces
Fire reported Friday 7/10 at 12:31 pm and turn back for final monitoring Wednesday 7/15 at 7:00 pm.

Just want to say thank you to all the units that responded and helped out.

Hi Group! any chance one of you has a working lawnmower push type that you are willing to part with? (anyone within 50 miles of the Stillwater area) I will gladly pick up. wife is having knee replacement surgery this next month so finances are a tad tight for buying one presently. thanks in advance if anyone has one they can part with.
