Hello all I'm a student at HTC and I'm currently living in minnetoka mn and am looking to start my fire career if anyone is looking to mentor, or somewhAT guide me while on my path that would be reAlly great. So far I have my fire 1, and company function. Now taking my (emt-B) fire instructor, and a child development class to help me work with kids. I hope that some one can inbox me....

I spent some time with CRFD as one of their volunteers back in the early 90's. I grew up about a half mile straight north of Mercy.

Morning everyone. I'm on Crosslake Fire & Rescue (25 mi NE of Brainerd) but Ron, I grew up and graduated from Anoka many moons ago.

Hi Ron .... Warren here and I'm with the Fire/EMS/Safety Center and have a district office in Wilmar. I was on the Willmar department until 1982. Started full time at the State Fire Training Office in 1979.

I wish you the best in your quest for info on this. Being a firefighter is not for everyone, and is not for many that are actually doing the job today. A firefighter can not be self serving, must be dedicated and willing to train hard often. How new firefighters are formed is really up to who brings them up. If you get a poor teacher, you will be just like them. The job is a great one, but we have enough groopies and self serving firefighters today. be a firefighter, not a mirror image of the other person. Do the job.
