Firefighters Cycling Association

we can all go race the WPFG's every 2 years, and even race for our departments at the state games yearly, but how about the rest of the season? FFCA is for firefighters who want to race as a team. Non competitive riders welcome as well!

Be a Sponsor... Make a Difference... It's as Easy as Clicking "Donate"!(Donate Button is below)

Firefighters Cycling Pro Development Team uses cycling to spread the word about First Responders everywhere who are at risk for health issues. It may be a chronic cough or allergies that can be traced to toxins encountered on the job, or chronic to terminal illnesses, especially those that can be attributed to exposure during the months after 9/11.

Unfortunately, our team (formerly Firefighters Cycling – Formigli), lost our title sponsor and a commitment of $100,000, and while we are actively looking for a new Title Sponsor, it is more difficult now that the season is underway. Allen Wahlstrom, team Director (husband and father of 5), decided to fund the team out of his own pocket instead of letting the team fold. While many Amazing people have stepped up to support the team like Michael, Justin, and Steve of Allegro Cyclery, Jesus and Magdalena Mendoza, Phillip Love, Dave Clark, Bonnie Tuel, and Greg van den Dries of RockTape, the expenses involved with running a cycling team are starting to take its toll and we need your help!

We are putting out a “Call to Action”, and ask for your support and to help us honor our firefighter and emergency services workers across the country. Your generous support in any amount will allow us to bring needed attention our heroes, but if your donation is $25, $50, $100 or more, you will receive as token of our appreciation, an official Firefighters Cycling T-Shirt!

FFCA will race as an Elite U23 program in 2011.

As of today we have a five time Irish National Champion, Two of Mexico's top U23 riders and a couple of Texas most promising riders in the fold.

The Elite team will be based out of Washington State, and race primarilyt in the Pacific Northwest, but do select events across the US.

Team kits are now available and the 2011 kit will be released as soon as we finalize sponsors.

Membership will be $45 and the Kit is $150.

We will direct profits from the kits to the September 11th HFF and our other Foundations.

For information check the FFCA website.

One of our Members Scott Crowell from St Pete FD is off duty with a neck injury suffered at a weekend fire. Not sure how long Scotty is down for, but drop him a line and give him some support...

HUGE NEWS!

Formigli USA has signed on as a frame sponsor. What does that mean???

It means you can order a custom carbon frameset built by a master frame builder in Italy. And it is built to your exact specifications. Are you a heavier rider, sprinter, climber, or just want a bike to ride all day long... all that is taken into consideration in frame selection, and build.

This is huge. Professional teams get their frames built for them.. and in most cases only the top 3-5 riders get a truly custom fit.

The discounts are huge, from $600-$2000! All the information is on Firefighterscycling.com

We are also sponsored by Rudy Project, this gives you a 40% discount on anything at the Rudy site!
Contact me for the web address and password for your discount.

Also anyone wanting kits, gear and or Frame, give me a heads up. I will get you in touch with the right person!
