Police have identified the firefighter killed in the line of duty. They say Garrett Loomis, Assistant Fire Chief in Sackets Harbor, died when a silo exploded.

Crews on scene say the explosion happened a little before 10 a.m. Sunday.

Smithville and Sackets Harbor Fire Departments were called to the scene.

Town of Watertown ambulance took two people to Samaritan Medical Center.

No information has been released about the second person.

We will bring you more information as soon as we get it.

I've started a new T-shirt company that is strictly for Fire Departments. As the son of a Fallen Firefighter, I wanted to use it as a way to give back to the ones that were there in my family's time of need. So I decided to donate a dollar of every shirt made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Contact me for info/prices, Thank You. shcmyers31@yahoo.com

Hey everybody. Myself and three others from our dept. are taking the NFA Incident Safety Officer class this weekend. It is a lot of review of stuff we all know, but it gets you thinking about safety and all the things that can go wrong. I would recommend it to anyone. There are a lot of scenarios and unfortunately some real life case studies that make you think. You can't review and drill on safety enough if you want everyone to go home. Stay safe.

I am excited to share a free revenue generating system that will help you raise money from what supporters already do, as well as keep your organization's message on their computer screens.
OurGV Rewards makes use of an internet toolbar that is powered by Yahoo and presents organizations with a means for fundraising and generating revenue. Generate 5 cents per click for your organization, simply by clicking on sponsored search results. Included is a shopping mall with over 1,500 affiliate partner stores (Walmart, Home Depot, etc) that pay you for each purchase made. In addition, we provide a simple-to-use platform for ongoing communication to keep people connected in a non-intrusive and entertaining way.
Please review the following site http://www.ourgv.com/alcarsa.
There is NO cost to the organization and NO cost to your audience who downloads your Toolbar. In addition, there are NO spyware, adware, or pop-ups and is network secure.
We have already helped organizations from all around the world earn thousands per month, and look forward to doing the same for yours!

Please review the non profit organization video below and sign up today for free or
if you would like more information regarding the Ourgv program feel free to call me
