There is absolutly nothing with constent pump training.

   Theres not a thing wrong with xtra pump training, you've gotta remember one thing, besides command you are the next most important person on the scene, " The lives of nozzle people is in the hands of the pump operator" plain and simple.

Also depending on your department and response you are alos second in command if your engine officer is in a working ic roll
