Search and rescue teams on Sunday struggled to reach areas of the northern Philippines cut off by storm-triggered landslides and flooding that have left more than 600 people dead, officials said.

In the heavily-damaged northern province of Pangasinan, many towns remained under water while landslides had virtually cut off mountainous communities from rescuers, disaster relief officials said.

roads collapse due to landslide. cutting off some towns and village from the rest of the country.

Main Roads are flooded. Most people have walked several miles to get out of the towns.

As most of us in the city is now coping and recovering the devasting flood last two weeks ago. Now a storm have left twice or three times of the devastation up north of our country. This time we don't talk about a city map, or some parts of town or region. Now this time a several provinces flooded. Mountain provinces have been isolated to one another. A huge nightmare beyond our imagination. Eventhough, I'm personally flooded. Now I think to myself and considered myself lucky.....
