UPDATE:

A Los Angeles firefighter was sentenced to six months in jail on Tuesday after he was found guilty for beating a woman who was feeding stray cats in September 2013.

ORIGINAL POST

An LA Firefighter who beat a little lady - she is a friend of my friends - finally has been found guilty for assault... This little lady catches and fixes stray cats and finds them homes and feeds them to keep them alive and healthy. This very evil man beat her almost to death along with his mother. So happy to see he has been found guilty. My friend's friend will suffer permanent damage from her injuries... this firefighter's pension should go to her and her care in my opinion. He is paid to protect the people of this city not harm them - what a disgrace he brings to firefighters. He is not human - he is barbaric - and has no business in the fire service.

The liability to the city is also an interesting discussion. Laws all over the country are being put into place to protect homeless cats and dogs. It is a felony to harm a cat or a dog. And now, most countries in the world, and many large U.S. cities are supporting policies to create Trap-Neuter-Return-Maintain programs so that the animals are not killed in shelters or in the community, but instead are fixed and cared for. This family's violent approach to harmless community cat caregiving is seriously disturbing. The FBI now find harm to animals as a "crime against humanity." Time to stop and think before you go psycho on someone who is helping homeless animals in your community.

So Happy He will be sentenced finally... ..

CBS News reports - he could get up to 7 years in jail

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2015/05/22/firefighter-convicted-of-...

He got a 6 month jail time sentence - he got off with a super super light sentence for nearly killing this women. Very very disturbing.

Not knowing all the facts but bottom line he did something seriously to hurt someone an should pay dearly for it. The fact that he was a public servant an as such should be respected an looked up to as a protector of those in need makes it worse. Yes, disturbing indeed,

Even if i may not know the story bt from what have read pulic servants should always b courageous to withstand presure from the public. we serve the publiic and in general it has got all sorts of people. We are life savers not life takers.
