NEW YORK - Fire marshals are at the scene of a Bronx house fire that injured eight people, four of them seriously.


People were rescued from the basement of the two-story building on Wednesday morning. The FDNY says it took over an hour to get the fire under control.

The injured were taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

Three of those hurt were firefighters; their injuries are not serious.
