I have a problem with migraines flaring up.I see a couple Dr.'s for this but it still causes problems.Anybody else have migraine problems?I'm looking for something to try to at least make them not quite so bad.

ive been having migraines for a while, some of my other family members have the same problem, doctor told me it can run in the family, one migrane was so bad i was passed out on the floor and when my mom came home she freaked out, called 911, my ambulance crew knew my address, they hurried up and called for medical assist from my fire dept, it looked like a parade of trucks on my street and like it was a 4 alarm fire, everyone in my area knows my address, and when they herd it come in everyone showed up, anyway, they took me to the ER, thought i might have had a seizure, had a big medical work up, only to find out that it was just a nasty migraine, i have imitrex now, and that stuff is amazing, but like paul said be careful with imitrex too.
see all my counsel above

since yes, migraines run in my family too BUT I seem to have stopped them - so it is not solely a genetic influence

SEE an ALLERGIST and an Ear Nose and Throat Doctor ASAP

... and do all the other stuff I said too... LOL
Everything?????
FINE - suffer in pain then... but quit your belly-aching then !!!
Went to Pittsburgh today and saw a nuero. and had a bunch of tests today.Long day.
hang in there - they will get this figured out

even if they have to stick those Frankenstein Bolts in your head... or give you secret X-Men skills

(email me if you want to talk about specifics privately)
Chris reminded me this morning - GET A CHIROPRACTOR - they are awesome at straightening out the kinks in ones back and neck after working the way firefighters do - and sometimes it magically takes away migraines - and certainly takes away tension headaches and other related symptoms.
had em for years before my heart attack, thought it was stress and tried to let it go....i used to pop about 8 tylonol with no results then switched to advil with no effect. i used to see the white spots so bad that i had to leave the firehouse and get a guy to drive me home. i eventually went on some meds ending up on ZOMIG which was like a light switch on the pain after about an hour and a half. since i had my heart attack i dont get them anymore. i do suggest you talk to your doctor and tell him everything and be descriptive about the pain i used to rate it from 1-(ache) to 10 severe/cant function-white spots in the eyes, good luck
where they able to think any of the issues leading up to the heart attacks as corresponding to migraines?
