A good read for probies - looking for reccomendations.

Can anybody reccommend any good books that a probie should read to start to build his tools box? Training or technical.

The bible doesn't seem appropriate for someone not christian (I know, what are non-christians doing being firefighters, but it happens.)

It's appropriate for Christians, Jews (they wrote it), and any other religion. (Atheists and Agnostics, too.)

Jews only wrote the first half, the other half is christian propoganda. It's not appropriate to any other religion, unless one is proselytizing (not appropriate but you just can't stop the damn fkrs.)

That's not accurate, Jack. The "second half" is a record of ancient history as written by several observers who lived through that time.
