What type of extrication equipment do you all use and why.

Around here we all use Amkus, mainly because if we need to call each other all of our equipent is inner changable and we're all on the same page.

Amkus, because that's what my department has.

We started with amkus and still have them but we have added some champion tools on our truck. Champion has one of the best cutters. also Champion will make thier tools compatible with your power unit ,so you do not have to have one to run thier tool,you can run all tools off 1 power unit.

The Volunteer Fire Dept. I'm on uses Amkus. The other Vol. Depts in the county and I believe the paid departments use hurst. I've never used either so I can't really attest to which one is better.
